Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside North East London Local Authority to provide them a with a Assistant Director of ICT join their team on a Contract Basis!

Rate – £550 to £686 per day Negotiable depending upon experience. 

** This is a very hands on operational role. You must have;

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 stack
• Strong knowledge of Networks (Cisco)
• Strong knowledge of MS Windows desktop
• Knowledge of Storage/Compute (Nutanix and Tintri – preferably)
• Experience of leading an infrastructure team through a transformation/re-organisation.
• Have hands on coaching and direction setting experience.

About your role

• To be part of the IT Leadership Team.
• To lead and manage relevant IT Services to Havering and Newham councils, partners and other customers in line with the IT Strategy and council policies and procedures. 
• To lead and manage future demands for services and infrastructure in accordance with corporate strategies, and plan the organisation, equipment and facilities to satisfy them.
• To lead and ensure an effective interface and relationship with customers & partners.
• To be the main lead in key corporate working groups, project and programme boards, promoting corporate standards and procedures to help ensure effective and efficient information processing across all the Authorities.
• Lead on Information and Communications Technology developments and innovations, shaping and implementing the operational and infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
• Lead on selecting of new products and ensure their alignment to the Council’s strategy, and be accountable for exploitation as appropriate.
• Be the Council lead, in various partnerships and joint working arrangements, as required, and exercise authority that is appropriate to the various roles (for example, as a board director).
• To deputise for the Chief Information Officer
