We are working in partnership with a Local Authority to appoint a Commissioning Officer to their Children and Families Commissioning Hub!
3-6 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.
Full time position.
Location – Shire Hall, GL1 2TG
Within this role you will be expected to support the lead commissioners and outcome managers in achieving the expected and desired outcomes in given areas through effective commissioning activities. You will also be expected to lead and undertake more complex and higher risk projects and lead on lower risk commissioning exercises.
Main Duties;
- Work under the direction of commissioning managers to support lead commissioners and outcome managers to ensure the commissioning of services to meet customer needs.
- Support outcome managers and lead commissioners to ensure quality, customer informed and value for money decisions are made about commissioning and decommissioning of services.
- Provide advice, evidence and research which support commissioning decisions including analysis of market development trends.
- Support customer engagement processes to help inform commissioning decisions.
Job Requirements;
- Relevant professional, procurement or commissioning qualification.
