Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Hammersmith & Fulham Council to provide them a with a Parking Finance & Debt Officer to join their team on a 3 Month Contact, likely to be extended.

This role is 36 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £16.00 – £18.00 per hour. This may be negotiable dependent on your experience. Working hours will be 09:00 am to 17:00 pm (Flexible).

The purpose of the job: To adhere to sound financial and accounting processes and procedures in accordance with professional standards as set by CIPFA and internally by LBHF corporate finance. In addition to this, ensure that all income and expenditure is accounted for and that all systems (SAP) are updated in a timely manner and are accurately recorded. Finally, to undertake and support with financial administration and income reconciliation for all parking related income.

As a successful Parking Finance & Debt Officer, you will:

  • Ensure that income is allocated correctly with reference to the Council’s financial management system and bank account.
  • Have a sound and practical understanding of relevant legislation, Traffic Management Orders and LBHF policies and procedures in relation to on street parking enforcement.
  • Contribute to the operation of the Service’s Quality Management System, including participation in internal quality audits where appropriate and contribute to initiatives to provide best value, and ensure all functions are carried out in accordance with it.

 To be considered for this role, you will have the following knowledge/experience:      

  • Experience in dealing with financial records and information (preferably income reconciliation)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including a good working knowledge of the English language.
  • Knowledge of debt management
  • Works proactively and accepts responsibility for supporting the delivery of an effective Parking service
