Spencer Clarke Group are currently working alongside a client based in Preston, Lancashire. We are looking to recruit a PFI Contract Manager to join their team on a contract basis!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience and knowledge of the delivery and management of operational accommodation projects (preferably in the education sector) within a Public Private Partnership or PFI model
  • Experience of working with/within local authorities, schools or academies and a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of negotiation with contractors on delivery programmes, performance, variations and cost management
  • Understanding of Construction/Delivery contracts and how they operate
  • Experience of Facilities Management delivery contracts and how they operate

The main duties of the PFI contract management role is to ensure:

  • The agreed PFI contractual position is protected on all contracts across all schools
  • Invoices are processed
  • Variations and School Damage implications are appropriately managed
  • Monitoring of the service provider’s performance against the output specification is undertaken to ensure that the financial implications of any failure to perform have been taken into consideration and appropriate action taken
  • Payment profiles are appropriately allocated
  • School Change requests are appropriately investigated and facilitated
  • The quality and performance of the service provider is monitored, measured and appropriately managed in line with contractual obligations
  • Continuous improvement in contract performance and service delivery is maintained in line with the contract
  • Client Schools are appropriately informed, consulted and satisfaction of service delivery is achieved
  • Service cost pressures are proactively managed
  • Lifecycle of the Estate is appropriately measured and lifecycle investment by the Contractors is in line with the estates needs and the contractual obligations
  • Deductions are optimised
  • Statutory Compliance is tested and assured

This role is remote working but would require a local candidate to collect equipment and be local upon future return to the office.
