Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Oxford Services to provide them a with a Property Services Consultant join their team on a Contract Basis!

About the Service;

These services include housing repairs and maintenance, environmental services, highways and engineering, motor vehicle repair as well as parks and open spaces. As part of our on-going efficiency reviews, we would like to engage an appropriately qualified individual for 2-3 months to complete a targeted piece of work benchmarking cost and efficiency of our property repairs service. The individual appointed will need significant experience of social housing repairs services.

This piece of work is sponsored by the MD with input from the Executive Director, Commercial and will need to work collaboratively with the Property Services Director/management team and the Head of Commercial Finance in order to gain an understanding of current operating model. In addition, documents will be provided for desktop review ahead of commencement on-site.

Deliverables

Detailed activity and deliverables will be agreed with the individual appointed but are likely to include:

• Review the productivity of key revenue streams within property services
• Review our labour resource and cost per activity type and compare these against appropriate benchmarks
• Review our workforce structure and numbers, including benchmarking cost and productivity of similar roles
• Recommend new productivity measures, propose targets appropriate to the type of work and solutions as to how to achieve these

Timeframe and Outputs

• We estimate this is 8-12 weeks work including report production, some of this will need to be carried out on-site in Oxford
• Output is a comprehensive report with recommendations / indicative savings / action plan and road map
