Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to provide them a with an SEN Senior Practitioner to join their team on an on-going contract.

Working Hours Monday – Friday 09:00 to 17:00 pm

This role is 37 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £200 per day. This may be negotiable dependent on your experience.

The purpose of the job: The SEN Senior Practitioner will work closely with families and service providers and act as an expert operational lead in a specialist area e.g., casework, Early Years, Post 16, Tribunals. To provide comprehensive casework management and administrative support to ensure the effectiveness of the SEN Service

As a successful SEN Senior Practitioner, you will:

  • Take forward education, health and care needs assessments of children and young people with SEN
  • Be the primary point of contact for the parents/carers of children and for young people, across the 0 – 25 age range, who are undergoing an Education, Health and Care (EHC)
  • Communicate effectively and positively with parents, young people, schools and professionals 
  • keeping them informed and collating information throughout the statutory and local assessments/decision making process.
  • Deputise on behalf of and support the SEN team manager to have oversight of the team’s statutory performance including the 20 weeks’ assessments and phase transfer
  • Contribute to the development of initiatives and partnerships
  • encourage children and young people to build strong links with their local community and support the

To be considered for this position, you will have the following skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Essential: Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Honesty, Respectful, embraces diversity with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong knowledge of local education, health and social care provision.
