The Parking & Enforcement Service Development Officer will develop the Parking and Enforcement business through the management and delivery of service development projects and initiatives as part of the overall reorganisation and continuous improvement plans. They will contribute to the preparation of the service’s strategic plan and support the implementation of new departmental and service priorities and initiatives ensuring that the departments are effectively and professionally represented and derive maximum benefits through their successful implementation.

Key Knowledge

  • Do you have experience of managing multiple complex projects with the ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions?
  • Do you have a working knowledge of project planning, budgeting and control?
  • Do you have experience of managing multiple complex projects with the ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions?
  • Do you have at least one years’ experience in project management?
  • Do you have proven experience of delivering business benefits through business service development?

Relevant Experience 

  • Minimum 2 years analytical experience in a similar environment with evidence of business process re-engineering, and creating and managing benefits realisation plans.  
  • Extensive experience of writing detailed reports and business cases, and able to present complex issues to a variety of audiences in written or verbal formats
  • Proven experience of networking at all levels with the ability to build relationships to achieve objectives and improve business processes and delivery.   
  • Experience of using a wide range of management, project and analysis tools for the preparation/presentation of information including SQL, Reporting, Excel, Visual Studio and any other analytical tools
  • Excellent time management skills with proven experience of dealing with a variety of highly complex work streams and projects, prioritising as required
