Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

Are you passionate about supporting individuals in their recovery journey? Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join our clients team in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by substance misuse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage a caseload of service users with substance use issues, ensuring their needs are met and progress is achieved.
- Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments, evaluating personal strengths, identifying risk factors, and addressing complex needs.
- Develop, monitor, and review risk assessments and management plans to safeguard service users, families, and carers from harm.
- Work collaboratively with service users to create person-centred recovery plans, utilising a strengths-based approach, in partnership with other professionals.
- Deliver group intervention sessions, providing support and guidance to service users.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes, reports, and documentation in line with policy and procedure.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of service user data and treatment journey.
- Work effectively with statutory and non-statutory agencies to address the broader needs of service users.
- Deliver harm reduction interventions, including needle exchange and facilitating access to physical healthcare such as BBV and health screening.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong understanding of substance misuse and its effects.
- Proven experience of managing a caseload and working with individuals facing complex challenges.
- Demonstrable skills in assessing risks to individuals and others.
- Knowledge of effective engagement and intervention strategies, including harm reduction, suicide, and self-harm awareness.
- Experience working in partnership with multiple agencies to deliver holistic care.
- Relevant professional qualification in substance misuse, health, social care, or related fields (desirable)
