~ Team Manager – Adult Care Management ~

Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with Shropshire Council to appoint a Team Manager to their Adult Care Management Team.

3 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

Full Time Position – (37 Hours per week)

Location – Shrewsbury, SY2 6FG.

Rate of Pay – £30+ per hour – Negotiable depending on experience.

About the Role

  • Responsible to the Service Manager, who is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training and development.
  • Accountable for Senior Practitioners, finance and admin staff, acting in a supervisory/managerial capacity, monitoring performance, supporting development and undertaking annual appraisals.
  • Lead and/or contribute to a range of projects and build relations with both internal and external partners in order achieve specified outcomes, but may not have direct authority over those involved.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Carry out absence prevention work as part of that agreed quota in Ensuring their individual and service performance targets are met.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure the team functions successfully in support of the Council’s corporate and service objectives.
  • Responsible for performance management at the operational level, ensuring that services collect, collate, and report the required information; identify areas of under-performance and planning and implementing actions to improve performance.
  • Ensure that service users and carers are consulted and included in service review.
  • Manage and monitor the budget and report any issues to the Service Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure regular staff supervision and appraisal and identification of staff training and development needs.

  • HCPC / Social Care England Registered.
