Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Ensure the Health & Safety standards in the manufacturing plants are of the highest calibre.
  • Manage the manufacturing function from design inception to delivery to site.
  • Manage the manufacturing plant(s), work rates, programme, processes.
  • Ensure the designs are interpreted correctly and can be manufactured efficiently and economically, keeping in line with the internal Company policies and external governance.
  • Responsible  for  managing  the  performance  of  the  Manufacturing  Team:  this  includes,  weekly meetings, 121 annual performance reviews, and minor employee relations duties i.e., approving holiday, ensuring consistent headcount and skill base in the department, performance meetings.
  • Consistently maintain and develop knowledge of EU and  UK legislation regarding manufacturing construction related products.
  • Regularly  keep  up  to  date  reports  regarding  productivity  and  programme,  ensuring  to  flag  any potential risks to productivity, cost, or revenue.
  • Work alongside the procurement department to ensure the correct documentation and manifest accompany each delivery.
  • Take  ownership  for  continuous  development,  seeking  new  opportunities  within  business  areas which can improve revenue and performance.
  • Work with the design team to ensure that client design intent is reflected in our proposals.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing projects comply to European Standards (CE Marking).
  • Manage stock and ensure a consistent supply across all AC entities.

Experience Required:

  • Understanding of Health & Safety manufacturing procedures                                                           
  • Experience setting-up and maintaining manufacturing production systems                                   
  • Experience leading and managing a team.                                                            
  • Experience of CE marking including but  not  limited to  initial type test,  factory production control and declaration of performance.
  • Knowledge of construction product regulations and harmonized standards. (Desirable)
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings. 
  • Ability   to   run  frequent   reports  via  Excel   to   highlight   areas  of  success   and  areas  of improvement.
  • Previous   experience   managing   team   performance   regarding   conducting   reviews   and improvement
