Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside Haringey’s Community Alarm & Telecare Service to hire Monitoring and Responding Officers on a contract basis.
They provide alarms to vulnerable people and offer help to those who may need assistance at very short notice. Although the service is used predominantly by older people, it is also available to other vulnerable adults.
Following assessment, an alarm is installed in service users home so that they can summon any help which is necessary, including the emergency service and relatives. The alarm is attached to the telephone and is activated by a pendant which the service users wear.
Monitoring and Responding Officers
This role is required to answer calls for vulnerable residents, determine support they may require and this includes visiting properties to enable access or to determine support required. Whilst working as part of a wider team you will be working alone when visiting properties and as a result need to be organised. You are working with vulnerable residents and therefore you need to ensure familiar with relevant procedures and can working in a Covid safe way and within the council procedures. This is a 24/7 service and the shifts are 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11am and 11pm to 7am, there is an 10 minute handover requirement at the start and the end of each shift, across the 7 days, suitable rest periods in accordance with Working Time Regulations will be included.
