Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside West Berkshire Council to provide them with a Waste Services Assistant on a 3-6 month initial contract that may be extended.

 

This role is 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday and offers a pay rate of £11.40-£12 per hour. Negotiable dependent on experience.

 

*Office based in Newbury for 1 month and then home working after that*

 

As a successful Waste Services Assistant, your duties will be:

  • To handle a range of communications from both internal and external customers and contacts, including service requests and complaints.
  • Provide advice and support to internal and external customers.
  • Provide consistent information and advice to all of our customers and partners.
  • Handle and process payments and applications for subscription services.
  • To maintain and update files and records, including those of a highly confidential nature, using existing systems and processes and ensuring accuracy and security of information.

 

To be considered, you will have the following knowledge/experience:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication with a professional telephone manner
  • Knowledge of council services is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
