Meet the Team - Eva Henderson

We recently caught up with Marketing Assistant, Eva Henderson, to discover more about her passion for working in marketing and her life outside of work.

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I began working at Spencer Clarke Group in May 2023. I have been made to feel so welcome and have loved my time here so far. 

What does your role entail?

I specialise in marketing and absolutely love what I do. One of my job roles is posting on LinkedIn which I love doing as it brings out my creative side. I also write content for the website and help with administrative tasks. 

What do you love most about what you do?

I love having the opportunity to learn new things, especially more about the marketing/recruitment industry, and being able to get involved and organise all the fun activities that go on within the office. I also love the variety of work that I do in the marketing team which means not everyday is the same.

What motivates you at work?

I am motivated by a hard working environment but such a fun one too! I love how your hard work always gets noticed and rewarded.

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

Spencer Clarke Group is a fantastic company to work for, everyday is so fun! During my time here so far, I have loved every single day! It’s a modern office full of many big personalities that makes it interesting; there is never a boring day in the office!

Tell us about your career path so far!

After I left school in 2021, I took part in a finance apprenticeship which enabled me to learn an understanding of what is involved within a finance role. 

I then began a career in hairdressing which I loved! This allowed me to work on my people skills and build my confidence in the workplace.

After some time, I decided to pursue a career in marketing and when I saw the job opportunity at Spencer Clarke Group, I grabbed it with both hands and haven’t looked back since!

How would your colleagues describe you?

I think they would describe me as hard working, fun, enthusiastic and always up for a challenge.

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work, you will most likely find me in a pub or restaurant with my boyfriend or friends - it’s my favourite type of weekend! 

Tell us something we’d never guess about you!

When I was younger I did a lot of swimming and was trained by an Olympic gold medalist.

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

Pursuing my marketing role and becoming more advanced within the team. I want to keep pushing myself - even when I doubt myself!

What’s your favourite film?

Hangover 2, it always makes me laugh!

Where’s the best place you’ve travelled to? 

Mexico - it’s the most amazing place to go! 

What advice would you give to your young self?

All the hard work and effort will be worth it in the end, follow your dreams and stop caring about what other people think of you!

Have you ever met anyone famous? 

I have never actually met anyone famous.

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island? 

My phone, a bottle of wine and a tan accelerator - I would be living my dream!

Do you have any pets? 

I have 2 Shihtzus, both girls, one named Lexie the other Chika.

Do you have any hidden talents? 

I ashamedly don't have any hidden talents.

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

I haven't been to any gigs.

What animal is your spirit animal?

A penguin as I just go with the flow.

What’s your guilty pleasure? 

Crusty tiger bread and butter… Amazing!
