Meet The Team - Brad Robertson

1-2 minutes

We recently caught up with public sector accountancy Recruitment Consultant, Brad Robertson, to discover more about his role and which famous person's house he’s had a glass of wine at!

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I began my career at Spencer Clarke Group in March 2024 and instantly felt like part of the team.

What markets do you specialise in?

I specialise in public sector accountancy and finance recruitment, nationwide. My role involves working with local authorities to find outstanding professionals to join their team. I also work with candidates to help them find their dream role!

What do you love most about what you do?

I love the fact that coming to work is no longer a chore. I enjoy everything I do here but most of all I enjoy being out of my comfort zone and overcoming challenges daily.

The wisdom of my colleagues makes every day a lesson and every challenge a blessing.

What motivates you at work?

I’m motivated to gain a thorough understanding of the layers within recruitment. It's an art that works in mysterious ways, allowing you to be creative in your individual approach.

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

Spencer Clarke Group is a family of individuals all working towards success. It’s rare to have such a dynamic and diverse workplace with such a fun, open and supportive culture.

Tell us about your career path so far.

Before beginning my career in finance recruitment at Spencer Clarke Group, I worked as a chef for a restaurant in Grasmere. I was looking for a change and moved to New Zealand for 6 months where I was a cocktail bartender.

While I was out there, I saw the opportunity at Spencer Clarke Group and knew I had to take it, so I made the choice to move back home and pursue a career in recruitment. I'm so glad I did!

How would your colleagues describe you?

I think they would describe me as adaptable, stylish and fun.

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work I am an avid music fan and love to go to gigs and festivals. However, in the week I can be found at the driving range or online streaming new artists looking for gold.

Tell us something we’d never guess about you!

I'm half Scottish and my dad lives on an island with sands recently compared to the likes of the Maldives. It’s called The Isle Of Barra.

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

I'd like to make my stamp within my market and continue to develop my organisational skills and market knowledge. I want to be an integral part of my team and the company as a whole.
