14 Feb, 20231-2 minutesWe recently caught up with our Marketing Executive, Ellie Cutts, to discover what she loves most about her role and how she came to meet Craig David...
How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?
I have worked at Spencer Clarke Group since November 2021 and I love it here. I really feel like part of the family!
What does your role entail?
I am the Marketing Executive here at Spencer Clarke Group. I love my role as I get involved with every department to help them with marketing needs. I love writing blog posts for the website and the research for these has helped me learn more about the recruitment industry. Working on our marketing campaigns gives me great insight into every sector of the business.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love being able to learn more about the recruitment industry and the eight disciplines that Spencer Clarke Group specialises in. I also love that within my role, I'm able to take part in organising all the fun activities we do and then use our social media channels to post about these!
What motivates you at work?
At work, I am motivated by a hard-working team of people and a fun office environment which is exactly what Spencer Clarke Group has.
How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?
So far, working here has been fun, fast-paced and really enjoyable! I love the way everyone works really hard, but it also feels like being part of a really kind work family. As an employee here, you are really valued and hard work is always rewarded!
Tell us about your career path so far.
After school, I went to the University of Central Lancashire to study Journalism. I graduated from Uni in 2018 and not long after that, I secured my first full-time job. I decided not to pursue a career in Journalism and instead, I joined the Customer Service team at a well known female fashion brand.
After a year or so on the Customer Service team, I moved over to their Collaborations Department where it was my job to develop and maintain relationships with social media influencers, who would be gifted products to promote the brand.
After relocating nearer to Preston, I decided I also needed to relocate my job and when I saw the job advert for the role here at Spencer Clarke Group, I applied straight away and was so happy when I was offered the job!
How would your colleagues describe you?
I hope they would describe me as kind, hard-working and positive.
Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?
Outside of work, I’d like to say you’d find me in a gym but that is definitely not the case! Instead, you’d probably find me spending time with my family and friends, out for a meal, or out for drinks in a nice bar.
Tell us something we’d never guess about you?
I have never broken a bone despite being very clumsy.
What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?
I would love to continue learning more about the business and have a varied job role that allows me to carry out lots of different tasks.
