Meet the Team - Taya Edmonds

We recently caught up with Recruitment Support Officer, Taya Edmonds, to discover what markets she specialises in and something we would never guess about her!

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I started working at Spencer Clarke Group in May 2023 and I was greeted by such a supportive and welcoming team and I felt like I just fit in straight away.

What does your role entail?

I work in compliance, taking care of 3 consultant's candidates. I work closely alongside our education team to ensure the candidate is compliant for when they are due start work.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love getting a chance to chat and build relationships with the candidates and my consultants to make the compliance process a little bit easier. I also love being able to support both the candidate and my team.

What motivates you at work?

Having such a fun and supportive team really does just make you want to work harder. Also having targets in place gives me that desire to exceed them.

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

It's such a great company to work for and it’s growing by the minute! Everyone is so welcoming and the dynamic in the office is great. With such a close team, it really makes coming to work fun.

Tell us about your career path so far

Before joining Spencer Clarke Group, I worked in hospitality and sales for 5 years. After that, I was searching for the right opportunity - I will say that I have done my fair share of exploring what type of career I would like to have! However, I feel like it just all fell into place when I joined this team and I can now really see a future within the company!

How would your colleagues describe you?

I think they would describe me as sociable, enthusiastic, always up for a laugh, dedicated and hardworking.

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

You will most likely find me at the gym or at the pub with my friends - but tucked up in bed by 10pm!

I have a crippling fear of heights.

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

To be consistently hitting my targets and one day hopefully having my own team.

Never doubt yourself and the world's your oyster!

Alesha Dixon - at a perfume meet and greet when I was 10.

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

Lip balm (you will never find me without one), sun cream and matches.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have a West Highland Terrier called Willow.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I'm good at impressions.

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

Kendrick Lamar at Leeds festival 2018.

What animal is your spirit animal?

A monkey because they eat fruit all day.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Mexicana garlic bread.
