Spencer Clarke Group Launches The Wellness Project

1-2 minutes

We’re thrilled to launch The Wellness Project, an initiative designed to support the emotional, physical and mental wellbeing of our workers.

The Wellness Project consists of expert advice and tool kits to support our workers in all areas of their wellbeing; the help will be available on the Wellness Hub and through a monthly wellness newsletter.

The project also consists of Wellness Wednesdays whereby life and career guidance will be available on our social channels (We’re on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn!)

Professionals will also have the chance to enter regular competition draws to win wellness goodies. These will include wellness journals & books, skincare bundles, relaxation candles and healthy snacks. The goodies will be the perfect accompaniment to help workers recharge their batteries after a long day at work.

The project has been launched in response to the ongoing health and wellbeing crisis which seems to be getting worse each year. Experts fear the next pandemic which we face will be a mental health one; the charity Mind found that 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England.

With UK inflation rising and energy, house and food prices soaring, the cost of living is putting a squeeze on household finances and living standards. This financial strain, on top of the stresses of juggling a career with relationships, families and friends will likely exacerbate the situation.

The Wellness Project aims to provide constructive advice and coping mechanisms to prevent professionals from feeling overwhelmed which will negatively impact their wellbeing.

Help and advice from The Wellness Project is available to professionals across the country but the competitions are exclusively for anyone following our social media channels and who are registered on the Spencer Clarke Group website or a current Spencer Clarke Group worker.

“Within Spencer Clarke Group, we have ‘11 Points of Culture' which are the fundamental elements of what make us who we are. One of those points is being ‘different’ which means we go above and beyond expectations,” said Managing Director, Mike Shorrock.

Shorrock continued, “The Wellness Project is just one of the ways we challenge the status quo. We thoroughly believe that happy and healthy employees are great for business so we’re committed to facilitating that.”
