Spencer Clarke Group Wins Recruitment Agency of the Year

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we won Recruitment Agency of the Year (35-49 employees) at the 2024 Recruiter Awards. 

Established in 2002, the Recruiter Awards gala is the UK’s largest event for the entire recruitment community recognising outstanding achievements by agencies and in-house recruiters. 

Held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on Thursday evening, fifteen members of our team were in attendance to collect the award and to celebrate this incredible achievement. 

The evening commenced with a drinks reception and a stunning three course meal before actor and awards host, Stephen Mangan, took to the stage to host the awards. 

Our agency was shortlisted for no less than four awards including Best Recruitment Marketing Team, Best Public Sector Recruitment Agency, Best Temporary Recruitment Agency and Recruitment Agency of the Year (35-49 employees). 

Along with scooping the win for Recruitment Agency of the Year, we also came highly commended in the Best Public Sector Recruitment Agency category. 

The judges commented, “SCG definitely sounded like an organisation where they’d like to work! There was ample evidence that they’re looking after their employees and having fun – we’d all love to see the iconic ‘Thriller’ dance with the recruitment twist that was part of their Halloween campaign.”

They continued, “Even more, they seem to have a finger on the pulse of the changing needs and upskilling requirements in the various segments they’re operating in, and they’re offering free Career Hubs to support professional career development. SCG inspires employees to work harder, think outside of the box, be kind and pay forward in society.”

Managing Director, Mike Shorrock, said “I started the agency just over 7 years ago and never in my wildest dreams did I think we would get to where we are today. I truly believe it is all down to the incredible people we have working here - as well as working hard, they bring exciting ideas, fun, kindness, and an energy which you can feel within the office.”
