Shropshire Council is the Local Authority of Shropshire, in England, comprising the ceremonial county of Shropshire (except Telford and Wrekin).
It is a unitary authority, having the powers of a non-metropolitan county and district council combined.
The Challenge.
Due to a lack of applications for the positions they had advertised, Shropshire Council were struggling to recruit drivers, drainage workers and Highway Maintenance Technicians.
By not having an adequate number of employees, existing employees were making up the shortfall and working longer hours. In some instances, public services could have been considerably delayed.
Subsequently, Shropshire Council contacted us to help them recruit 3 candidates within a two week period.
The Solution.

Through traditional methods of CV searching and collecting applications through our website which is optimised to attract candidates in this field, Sam was able to locate many qualified and experienced candidates.
Sam also reached out to this extensive network of tradespeople to get referrals of candidates who were potentially interested in a new fixed term contract.
Despite the council originally looking to recruit 3 candidates, they eventually hired 5 of the candidates which Sam submitted because the quality was of such a high standard.
These recruits enabled Shropshire Council to resume the provision of public services in a prompt and efficient manner.
