Spencer Clarke Group are searching for an Advanced Public Health Officer on behalf of one of our clients in the Norfolk Area. In this role, you will play a vital part in commissioning and overseeing programs that support individuals in quitting smoking, contributing to the reduction of smoking-related illnesses and improving overall health outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Commission and manage smoking cessation programs across various settings.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Promote awareness of smoking cessation services to local communities and vulnerable groups.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, local authorities, and community groups to develop and implement strategies for smoking cessation.
  • Collect and analyse data to evaluate the impact of smoking cessation initiatives.
  • Provide advice and support to healthcare professionals in the delivery of smoking cessation services.

Requirements for this role:

  • A degree in public health or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in health commissioning, public health, or a related area, ideally with a focus on smoking cessation or tobacco control.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • A commitment to reducing health inequalities and improving public health outcomes.
