Clinical / Forensic Psychologist
Private Client - Wiltshire.
Salary - £53,500, pro rata, per annum.
Part time - 22.5 hours per week, Hybrid working.

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Clinical/ Forensic Psychologist to join one of our private clients involving working with children in their care. Overall, you will work with 4 new children's home, with one of them being an assessment home, where you will work closely with children to identify their individual needs and what approach would work best for them individually.

What you'll do:

  • Under supervision, provide evidence-based therapeutic and psychologically guided care that complies with the HCPC and BPS requirements.
  • Conduct thorough psychological evaluations and compose psychological reports for kids and teens under Horizon Care & Education's supervision.
  • Create, draft, and periodically evaluate and revise therapeutic treatment plans for kids and teens in residential care and education.
  • Oversee a small caseload for individual intervention, offering teams and youth in residential care and educational settings specialised psychological advice.
  • Assist in the creation of a therapeutically informed service for residential and educational teams.
  • All the homes in the area must be visited at least once a week.

What we're looking for:

  • It is crucial to have prior experience working with children and young people or to have relevant, transferable skills. Post-doctoral knowledge of applied psychology including developmental lifespan psychology, models of psychopathology
  • Prior experience working with young people and children who have experienced trauma and have complex needs. Along with Experiencing in the assessment and management of self-harm / risk / crisis management / safeguarding.
  • Practitioner doctorate or equivalent accepted by the British Psychological Society as qualifying the person to work as a clinical/ counselling/ forensic psychologist/relevant qualification to enable HCPC registration
  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.
