Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for a Lead Psychologist to join our clients private mental health client, working with men who are deaf and have complex communication needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by leading therapeutic interventions, driving innovation, and supporting a talented team in delivering exceptional care.

As the Lead Psychologist, you will oversee a specialist mental health service, delivering evidence-based psychological care to service users with diverse and complex needs. You'll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, risk assessments, and service development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group interventions using evidence-based approaches.
  • Conduct diagnostic, cognitive, and risk assessments.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and training to Psychologists and Assistants.
  • Attend and contribute to Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance Meetings.
  • Support the clinical team in engaging service users through therapeutic interventions and co-produced care plans.
  • Develop and implement new clinical initiatives and service improvements.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of junior psychology staff.
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies to improve staff safety and risk management.

What We're Looking For

  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.
  • A Doctorate in Applied Psychology (e.g., Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling) from a recognised training body.
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessments, formulation, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with complex needs.
  • Supervisory and mentoring skills with the ability to support a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and service development.
