A local NHS Trust we are currently working with are seeking an experienced Community Nurse to join their team in Romford. You will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, provide skilled nursing care, and educate individuals and groups on various health issues.

Rate of pay: £26 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Location: Community based in Romford

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting health assessments and screenings in the community.
  • Providing direct nursing care, including wound care, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Educating individuals and groups on preventive health measures, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organisations to coordinate and facilitate comprehensive care.
  • Assisting with referrals to specialized services and resources based on individuals' needs.

To be eligible for this post you will need:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
  • Experience managing a caseload in the community
