Spencer Clarke Group are seeking Outreach Youth Workers for a local authority based in North London.
In this role, you will engage directly with young people in the community, delivering outreach support to help them make positive life choices and reduce risk-taking behaviours.
Key Duties:
- Deliver evening and weekend outreach youth work sessions across the borough.
- Build positive relationships and provide one-to-one or group support for young people aged 11-25.
- Develop and deliver informal education programmes to reduce risks like school exclusion or criminal activity.
- Work closely with families and partner agencies to provide coordinated early help support.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working with diverse young people and families in community or outreach settings.
- Proven ability to manage challenging situations and maintain professional boundaries.
- Familiarity with multi-agency work, including statutory and voluntary sector collaboration.
- Experience delivering youth engagement activities, including group sessions and street-based outreach.
What's on offer:
Salary: £17+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: 20 Hours per week, 2.30pm to 6pm
