Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Support Practitioner for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will provide intensive, child-centred support to families with complex needs, delivering holistic assessments, coordinating multi-agency services, and promoting positive outcomes for both children and parents.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Provide structured support to children and families, acting as the lead professional to coordinate multi-agency services, deliver home-based interventions, and help families access local resources.
- Facilitate parenting programs, offer targeted parenting support, and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed to protect children and promote positive family functioning.
- Work closely with professionals from various agencies, conduct risk assessments, and report concerns to ensure coordinated support and child protection.
- Maintain accurate case records, engage in supervision and training, and contribute to service development by providing feedback and reporting to senior management.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience in working directly with children and families, particularly those with complex needs, providing home-based interventions, and delivering parenting support programs.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments, coordinating with social services, health professionals, and other agencies to provide integrated family support.
- Experience in conducting child-centred assessments, managing cases, and using outcomes-based approaches to track progress and ensure effective service delivery.
- Experience in safeguarding practices, risk assessments, and maintaining accurate records, along with contributing to service delivery and community engagement activities.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
