Family Support Worker

We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in Walsall to appoint an experienced Family Support Worker to join their East Locality Family Hub in Brownhills.

About the Role:

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide holistic support to families with children and young people aged 0-19, addressing complex needs through integrated services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrated Family Support: Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a whole-family approach, supporting children, young people, and their families with complex needs.
  • Safeguarding: Assist in delivering robust services to at-risk children and young people, contributing to multiagency plans, identifying risks, and making timely referrals to appropriate services.
  • Flexible Interventions: Employ evidence-based interventions to meet the diverse needs of children and families within the borough, including individual or group work programmes.
  • Vision and Ethos: Support the overarching goals and ethos of Children’s Services and Locality Hubs, ensuring high standards of care and support.
  • Collaborative Working: Perform tasks as directed by Senior Family Support, Team Manager, or Group Manager, maintaining a collaborative approach to service delivery.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families.
  • Experienced in social care and support work, particularly within a family context.
  • Skilled in multiagency collaboration and safeguarding practices.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a strong commitment to evidence-based interventions.
