Family Worker

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Worker for a local authority based in North London.

In this role, you will work directly with families to assess their needs, develop action plans, and provide practical, early help support to improve their lives and prevent issues from escalating.

Key Duties:

• Identify family needs using assessment tools and develop whole-family action plans with clear, measurable outcomes.
• Deliver targeted early help interventions, parenting programmes, and practical support to improve family wellbeing.
• Work with families facing complex challenges, respond to safeguarding concerns, and lead Team Around the Family meetings.
• Partner with schools, health, and community services, contributing to service development and public health initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience supporting children, young people, and families in diverse, inner-city communities.
• Skilled in using assessment frameworks and creating tailored support plans to address a range of family needs.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with professionals across education, health, and social care sectors.
• Confident in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns and managing complex family situations.

What's on offer:

Salary: £20+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
