An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager join a growing community housing company to hep manage the finances for the business. This is a remote role but will need to be within commuting distance of Eastbourne to be able to attend regular meetings with the Directors.

As the Finance Manager, you'll be solely responsible for supporting the Directors with the day-to-day management of the Finance function as well as providing insight into the business, via costs/cashflow etc.

About the role
Based remotely, near Eastbourne you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of Management Accounts - including variance analysis & commentary
  • Preparation of year end accounts for submission to the external accountants
  • Balance sheet, bank & credit card reconciliations
  • VAT Returns, P&L and budget management
  • Payroll, credit control and sales & purchase ledger management
  • Review and management of utilities



About you
The ideal candidate for this position must have:

  • Experience within a social housing, care or local authority/government setting
  • AAT qualified or 5+ years relevant experience within a similar role
  • Experience with Xero is desirable but not essential
