Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Gynaecological Surgical Oncology Consultant to join one of our public clients on a contracted basis. The hours include 10 PA's per day. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, innovative department, where you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to women with gynaecological issues. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values both clinical excellence and the personal development of its staff.
What you'll do:
- Provide expert surgical care and management for patients with gynaecological cancers, including ovarian, cervical, endometrial, and vulval cancers.
- Lead and perform complex gynaecological oncology surgeries, including cytoreductive surgery and minimally invasive approaches.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
- Develop and implement tailored, evidence-based treatment protocols in line with national and international guidelines.
- Contribute to ongoing research, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives within the field of gynaecological oncology.
- Mentor and provide teaching opportunities for junior medical staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in gynaecological oncology to ensure best practice care.
What we're looking for:
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
- CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with subspecialist training in Gynaecological Oncology or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice in gynaecological oncology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care, safety, and professional development.
