Job Title: Interim Head of Neighbourhood
Location: West London / Hybrid
Contract: 6-months ongoing
Pay: £400 to £450 a day DOE
A West London Council is seeking a highly motivated and Interim Head of Neighbourhood to join their team.
Main Responsibilities
- To deliver a value for money neighbourhood and sheltered housing service which builds safe and sustainable communities, provides excellent resident experience, improves satisfaction and enhances the quality of life and opportunity for residents.
- To lead on the housing management strategy improvement plan and review all policies, processes for housing management and sheltered services, using business intelligence, benchmarking data to deliver transformation to services.
- To monitor and analysis of statutory KPI's and LPI's and setting and monitoring appropriate performance targets to deliver an efficient and streamlined service.
- To be responsible for overall budget management for Neighbourhood services, analysing and advising on the budgetary impact of property management, delivering services within the budget envelop and producing periodic budget monitoring information.
- To ensure, through appropriate strategic governance and operational leadership that the service meets the current and future business needs of the Council manifesto commitments and the Council strategic business plan priorities
Qualifications/Experience
- Good understanding of the key issues facing local government, the wider public sector and partners and of local, regional and national policy
- Experience of working in a fast-paced housing management department
- Ability to work across multiple teams and to deliver transformation and service improvement projects.
- Resident focus on delivering excellent neighbourhood and shelter services face to face, telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Experience of working with senior management team, councilors, executive directors, external stakeholders, and partnership organisations
- Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with council departments and external voluntary community partners to deliver positive outcomes for residents
- Effectively able to plan and prioritise workload and working to deadlines.
- Good organisational skills, to track priorities, work to deadlines and manage projects
- Robust governance arrangements, processes, risks & issues management and financial information
- Able to sensitively have difficult conversations with residents and staff.
- Awareness of support available based on circumstances of the resident.
- Good leadership and people management skills
