We are exclusively supporting a specialist Alternative Provision in Lancashire in their search for an inspirational Headteacher. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, shape the strategic vision, and make a lasting impact on young people aged 11-16 who require a holistic and flexible education outside of mainstream schooling.

About the School:

  • Provides a nurturing and individualised approach to education
  • Supports students with complex needs, including SEMH, school phobia, and those at risk of exclusion
  • Aims to re-engage learners and equip them with the skills for lifelong success


The Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive excellence in teaching and student outcomes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with staff, students, families, and external agencies to ensure every student thrives
  • Lead on curriculum development, safeguarding, and pastoral support


About You:

  • Experienced Headteacher with a strong track record in Alternative Provision or SEND
  • Passionate about inclusion and student wellbeing
  • Skilled in staff leadership, school improvement, and stakeholder engagement
  • A resilient, proactive, and dynamic leader ready to make a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
