Occupational Therapist (Children's Services)
Full time locum contract
£36.65p/h
Located in Sefton
Our Local Authority Client in Sefton are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their Children's Occupational Therapy Team to support with a backlog of assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering professional, advice on manual handling, home adaptations, and the provision of specialist disability equipment to promote safety and independence.
- Leading on complex and high-level cases, developing and implementing personalised intervention plans that reduce the impact of ill health and disability on day-to-day functioning.
- Reduce impact on childrens OT service and waiting lists and support throughput of DFG referrals and complex Moving and handling and safety assessments.
- Provide a specialist response in complex and highly complex cases, formulating and implementing intervention plans aimed at reducing the impact of disability and ill health.
Requirements:
- HCPC Registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience in either Children's or Adult OT services (Children's experience preferred but not essential)
