Occupational Therapy Team Manager (Equipment and Adaptations)

Travel across Manchester (occasionally GM) on a minimum of 3 days a week

Our Local Authority client are recruiting an Occupational Therapy Team Manager for their Rehousing Team in Manchester for a locum contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct home visits to assess individuals' needs for housing adaptations, ensuring recommendations align with their medical and mobility requirements.
• Identify and match applicants to suitable adapted properties, arranging and attending viewings with individuals to support their decision-making.
• Maintain and manage a caseload of individuals requiring rehousing support, ensuring timely interventions and positive housing outcomes.
• Conduct thorough medical assessments for children and adults to determine priority for rehousing, completing detailed reports to support housing applications.
• Identify and manage complex cases, working with multiple stakeholders to find practical and sustainable housing solutions.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
• Housing adaptations experience
• Ability to assess people in their own home for adaptations.
