£290 per day

3-6 month contract initially, likely to be extended

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an experienced Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) SEND Officer who will be responsible for managing complex cases within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team for a local authority in East London.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong up to date understanding of SEND legislation.
  • Proven experience as a SEND Case Officer.
  • Extensive knowledge of the PfA Framework.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Implementation of Education, Health and Care assessment plans and reviews of process and associated procedures.
  • Maintain connections with secondary schools and further education providers regarding the needs of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records whilst complying with local authority policies and procedures.
  • Able to analyse complex information to offer clear, actionable insights in order to enhance service delivery.
