Spencer Clarke group are looking for a Principal Psychologist to join one of our private clients at one of their sites based in the Carmarthenshire area. They support a range of individuals, including people who have cognitive problems, physical impairments, physical and verbal aggression, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.
What you'll do:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to a team of psychologists, support staff, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to inform care plans and rehabilitation strategies.
- Design, implement, and evaluate individualised psychological interventions, with a focus on emotional, cognitive, and behavioural recovery.
- Address a range of psychological issues including cognitive problems, physical impairments, verbal and physical agrees, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages the individual's active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
What we're looking for:
- A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Additional specialised training in acquired brain injury or neuropsychology is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience providing psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and case management in multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams, with a focus on developing and implementing best practice psychological approaches.
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet the evolving needs of individuals with ABI at various stages of their recovery.
