Recovery Worker (Smoking Cessation)

Located in Hammersmith & Fullham
Our private client in Hammersmith and Fullham are recruiting a Recovery Worker for their Public Health & Substance Use service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide structured support to individuals aiming to quit smoking, tailoring interventions to meet their personal goals and readiness for change.
- Include evaluation of smoking history, nicotine dependence, motivation to quit, triggers, and personal strengths, as well as identification of any physical or psychological risk factors.
- Safeguard service users by addressing risks related to withdrawal symptoms, co-existing mental or physical health conditions, and relapse.
Requirements:
- Degree in public health, health, psychology, or relevant health-related field.
- Willingness to complete or have already the NCSCT Smoking Cessation Practitioner Training and Speciality courses for practitioners shortly after appointment.
- In-depth understanding of smoking cessation (NRT, varenicline, e-cigarettes)
