An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dedicated Room Leader to join a dynamic team at a well-established nursery in Blackpool. This is a fantastic role for an experienced and passionate individual who thrives in early years education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the room and implement the nursery curriculum to a high standard.
- Provide an enriching environment, ensuring resources and activities meet the needs of the children.
- Take the lead in planning and maintain accurate, effective records of children's progress.
- Promote strong partnerships with parents, carers, and family members.
- Support the development of good practice in special needs and inclusion.
- Work collaboratively with the team to improve the quality of childcare and education.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment for all children.
- Monitor and manage the nutritional needs of the children in line with Food Safety Regulations.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, as well as company policies.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential).
- Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS framework.
- Extensive experience working with children and families, with a focus on safeguarding.
- Experience in maintaining accurate administration records.
- Passion for promoting good practice and creating an inclusive environment.

Salary:
From £12.20 per hour.
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
