The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore and excel in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will have the opportunity to join a supportive department, collaborate on curriculum development, and make a significant impact on student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Develop innovative teaching resources to inspire curiosity and a love for science.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and wider school initiatives.
  • Support the school's ethos and values, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Science-related discipline.
  • A thorough understanding of the Science curriculum and a proven ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A commitment to raising standards and promoting high expectations in the classroom.


Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 5 (A-level).
  • Familiarity with effective strategies for teaching STEM subjects.
  • A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
