SEND Case Officer

£300 per day, negotiable depending on experience

3-6 month contract

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a SEND Case Officer for our local authority client in South East England. The SEND Case Officer will act as the first point of contact for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), facilitating communication between families, education settings and specialists.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SEND Case Officer.
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of SEND legislation and the PFA framework.
  • Experience in managing complex cases and handling a demanding caseload.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Oversee phased transfer work and the associated annual review paperwork.
  • Work closely with education settings and families to prioritise the needs of children and young people with SEND.

Skills required:

  • Ability to build and maintain meaningful working relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach, keeping the needs of children and young people with SEND at the forefront.
