SEND Manager - Preparing for Adulthood

£400 per day - Inside iR35

Initial contract until 31st March 2025, potential for extension.

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEND Manager with experience in Post 16 / Preparing for adulthood, to take up an interim contract with our client, a local authority in the East of England.

The role will manage the Education Health and Care planning and review function for young people in academic year 9 and above, including providing management supervision to a team of EHC coordinators to deliver Education Health and Care plans and all statutory processes in line with statutory frameworks and legislation.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work in partnership with health, care services and a wide range of specialist organisations such as youth justice and parents and young people to secure effective provision and local packages of support for young people with complex needs.
  • Lead and manage the planning and placements for children and young people in year 9 and above who require specialist residential or out of provision.
  • Monitor provision and outcomes for young people in year 9 and above placed in out of provision and attend annual reviews and meetings, brokering changes as required Lead and develop the team in best practice.
