SEND Project Manager - Post 16 & Alternative Provision.

£400 - £450 per day - Outside iR35

Initial contract until 31st March 2025.

Remote Working available

Part-time - 2.5 days per week.

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEND Project Manager to lead on a Post 16 & alternative provision programme for a local authority in the Southeast.

This project is underway. We require a project manager to receive a handover from the current post-holder as they are changing roles. We want to see candidates with strong project management experience and relevant subject-matter knowledge gained through previous project management assignments in the areas of post-16 education and SEND/Alternative Provision.

Key Deliverables:

  • Undertake a comprehensive 'voice of the child/young person' exercise, taking into account, views and experiences of current Year 9, 10 and 11 young people and post-16 students (past and present) to inform the work of the project.
  • Work with designated post-16 providers to become the council's nominated providers for young people.
  • Strengthen the council's information, advice and guidance offer for young people and their families through this period of transition.
  • Develop a fully costed options appraisal/business case in respect of a supported accommodation offer for young people accessing their post-16 education.
  • Work with providers to explore options delivering post-16 provision to give choice for those young people wishing to remain at home.
