SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) in Blackburn

Are you a dedicated and compassionate professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We have an exciting opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Blackburn. You will be working 1:1 with SEN children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), providing crucial support and care.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with SEND and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is desirable and preferred
  • Reliability and commitment to the role are vital
  • Team player with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the school
  • Willingness to assist with aspects of personal care

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to SEN children in EYFS and KS2, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualised education plans
  • Support the emotional and social development of students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and well-being
  • Adapt to the needs of the school and be flexible in your approach to tasks and responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
