Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join one of our private clients at one of their sites which is based in the Carmarthenshire area. They support various kinds of individuals, such as those with cognitive issues, physical disabilities, verbal and physical aggressiveness, communication issues, and challenging behaviour.
What you'll do:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals with cognitive difficulties, physical impairments, and complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- For individuals displaying challenging behaviours, problems with communication, and verbal and physical aggressiveness, provide specialised support.
- Making use of modern psychological strategies to control and decrease disruptive or aggressive behaviours while encouraging positive outcomes.
- Contribute to case reviews, for quality improvement, service development, and case reviews.
- Maintain accurate and current client records in compliance with organisational and professional standards.
What we're looking for:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Strong clinical psychology experience, including dealing with people who have complicated behaviours, physical disabilities, and cognitive challenges. It helps to have prior experience handling anger and communication difficulties.
- Capabilities and expertise in mentoring and overseeing junior team members.
