Job title: Senior Occupational Therapist (Children's Social Care )
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday
Contract: 3 months assignment initially - potential to extend
Pay: Up to £38.50p/h
Location: Bromley
Our client in South London are looking to recruit a Locum Senior Occupational Therapist for their Children's Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assess the functional and developmental needs of babies and children under 3 years old with substantial physical disabilities in their home environment.
- Provide expert recommendations and oversee the provision and safe use of specialist equipment such as postural seating, bathing supports, and mobility aids.
- Prescribe and arrange the provision of specialist equipment such as postural seating, bathing supports, and mobility aids, ensuring correct fitting and safe usage.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary professionals and external agencies to coordinate care plans that address both the immediate and long-term needs of the child and their family.
Requirements:
- HCPC Registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- Must have experience working with young babies and children under 3, assessing, providing recommendations.
