Our Local Authority Client are recruiting a Social Worker / Approved Mental Health Professional to support their service for a 12 month contract initially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents with their mental health to sustain their tenancies through establishing a support framework in conjunction with partner agencies.
- Assist the Neighbourhood Teams in managing vulnerable tenants with mental health needs which may include supporting perpetrators, victims and witnesses of anti-social behaviour.
- Undertake assessments of need and risk assessments under the Care Act where required, working with service users to establish eligibility, generate care and support plans, including crisis care plans and personal budgets, and to take part in reviewing these.
Requirements:
- Holder of a social work qualification (CQSW, Dip.SW or equivalent) and AMHP accreditation
- Post qualified experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems.
- Experience of undertaking mental capacity assessments.
