We have a new opportunity within the NHS for a Virtual Ward Nurse in Tamworth.

Band 6 Virtual Ward Nurse

Located in Tamworth

£25 p/h Umbrella (enhanced rates for weekends)

Shifts between Mon-Sun, 8am-8pm

3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Key responsibilities:

• Use autonomous clinical assessment and decision making to manage and potentially escalate any deteriorating patients.
• Taking a leading role in the clinical assessment of people in their own home environment, who have been identified as meeting the Virtual Ward admission criteria.
• Ensuring that patients on the virtual ward who have different acuity levels and have varying degree of complex needs have appropriate treatment/care packages delivered.
• Providing advice, support and guidance to colleagues and other professionals on issues relating to the patients care on the virtual ward.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin
• Physical Health Assessment or equivalent qualification
