If so, we have an great opportunity for you to join a Local Authority as a Young People's Substance Misuse Worker in Barnsley!
As part of their Targeted Youth Support Service, you will play a vital role in providing the necessary assistance and guidance to these young individuals. In this role, you will be working closely with young people on an individual basis, offering a range of evidence-based interventions to support them on their journey towards a healthier, happier life.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide one-to-one support for young people with drug and alcohol issues.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to reduce risks and improve well-being.
- Collaborate with multiple agencies to develop integrated services.
- Offer outreach and support in community settings.
To thrive in this position, we are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum Level 4 Qualification OR Extensive Equivalent Experience
- Extensive experience in youth work or outreach work.
- Previous experience in working with individuals involved in drug and alcohol use, whether it be children, young people, or adults.
