Youth Worker

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Youth Worker for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will engage with young people through dynamic projects, helping to plan and deliver a variety of educational and recreational activities that promote their personal and social development.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

• Plan, organise, and deliver youth activities and programmes in line with service goals.
• Engage with young people to assess their needs and provide tailored support, including mentoring and coaching.
• Support young people in developing personal action plans and setting goals for their development.
• Manage and contribute to the planning of community events and activities designed to engage young people.
• Create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can participate in recreational activities like sports, arts, and drama.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people in a youth work, teaching, or social care setting.
• Experience working with vulnerable young people, including those with SEND, young carers, or those at risk of gang involvement.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing one-to-one/group support to young people.

What's on offer:

Salary: £18+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
