If you are thinking about joining the interim market, it would be a good idea to give us a call on 01772 954200. There are many options and avenues to explore but one of our healthcare recruitment specialists can set you on the path which is right for you.

You can also discover more about how the interim job market works in our recent interview with medical professionals recruitment specialist, Natalie Boaler.

We work with hundreds of private sector organisations, local authorities and NHS Trusts who are looking for interim and permanent Speech & Language Therapists to join their teams.

We work alongside a number of clients who specialise in Acquired Brain Injury, Paediatrics, Social, Emotional and Mental Health and specialist schools.

To become a Speech & Language Therapist, you will be required to obtain a BA in Speech & Language Therapy, along with being HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered.

Some clients might also require you to be registered with the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).

Required experience can vary depending on the specialty. Generally, most adult providers will require Dysphagia training.

Mental health providers will look for individuals with experience of working with clients who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD). SEMH schools and Paediatrics are on the lookout for individuals who have previously worked with children.

To begin, a screening process will be carried out by one of our expert healthcare consultants and if you are happy to proceed with the job, our consultant will then share your CV and details of your experience with the hiring manager.

If they think you have the required skills and experience for their role, you will then be invited to interview with the client.

Finally, if you are offered an interim position, we will register you with ourselves and then begin the onboarding process. This will be completed as quickly as possible so you can begin your new position without delay.

If offered a permanent position, the client will be responsible for the onboarding process which usually takes between 1 - 2 months.

Absolutely not, you will always have full control of where your CV is sent. We will present opportunities to you and you can advise if you would like your CV to be forwarded on.

We pride ourselves on working very quickly; on average it takes us between 1 - 3 days to place a candidate.

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to contract lengths but you can typically expect a contract to last between 3 - 6 months. However, contracts can last for years depending on the needs of the NHS Trust or business which you are working for.

Entering the interim market can be daunting at first, particularly if you’re not sure what to expect. However, contracts are regularly extended and as we work with hundreds of Local Authorities, there are always plenty more job opportunities just around the corner.

Simply contact us on 01772 954200 and we can put any concerns you have at ease.

It totally depends on the business you are working for. The work pattern type will be listed on the job advert.
