Meet the Team - Nicole Simpson

We recently caught up with Recruitment Support Officer, Nicole Simpson, to discover more about her hidden talents and how she would describe working at Spencer Clarke Group.

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I joined in September 2023! Everyone was really welcoming and made me feel at home straight away.

What does your role entail?

I'm responsible for making sure that the candidates are suitable to work in the education sector as quickly as possible as it is a very fast moving industry.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love working with a wide range of different people of all ages and working within a team which are very supportive. I also love having targets as it's something to work towards!

What motivates you at work?

For me, I find my targets really motivating as it makes me want to exceed them. Also, being able to learn new skills and better myself.

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

I’ve never worked anywhere like this in my life! The atmosphere is good, you always feel comfortable and I really enjoy coming into work. Everything as a whole is just incredible.

Tell us about your career path so far.

At college I studied hair, media and makeup. I loved it but the industry just wasn’t for me. I then worked in a pharmacy for 3 years and became a qualified dispenser. However, I felt like I needed to spread my wings and try something new so when I saw the opportunity at Spencer Clarke Group, I knew I had to go for it!

How would your colleagues describe you?

I think they would describe me as hardworking, funny and determined. 

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work, you'll find me in the gym or socialising with friends and family!

I'm the oldest of 7 siblings.

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

Continue working hard, progressing as much as possible and just seeing where it takes me!

What advice would you give to your young self?

It will get easier, just keep pushing forward.

Have you ever met anyone famous?

I met all the Benidorm cast when I stayed at the hotel they filmed in!

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

A rope, matches and a water purifier.

Do you have any pets?

No, sadly I don't. 

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can fit my whole fist in my mouth!

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

Leeds Festival.

What animal is your spirit animal?

A dolphin. 

What’s your guilty pleasure? 

Donuts!
